Jesus did not send us to create events; He sent us to make disciples. The idea of disciple-making today is often centered on a teaching program, but Jesus’ model was built on intentional, life-giving relationships.

Sustainable Discipleship is the intentional and proactive process of recruiting people and connecting them with the Holy Spirit, who empowers them to hear and obey Jesus. This kind of discipleship leads people:

— From religious duty to the delight of following Jesus;

— From dependence on people to being led by the Holy Spirit; 

— From maintaining programs to equipping disciples who make disciples.
