Information About Manaus And Our Host
Manaus is a major city in Brazil, located in the heart of the Amazon Rainforest and serving as a primary gateway for the region.
Manaus, Brazil, is located at the confluence of the Rio Negro and the Solimões River, which come together to form the Amazon River.
Your trip with us will include an adventurous boat ride on the Amazon river and a chance to experience part of the Rainforest and the beauty this area has to offer!
Our host venue for this event will be Mir Centro-Sul a church that started in March of 2011 with just 150 people and has now grown to over 5,000.
Mir Centro-Sul is lead by the apostles Arão and Ester Amazonas and has focused on forming Disciples and strengthening cell groups as fundamental unites of church extension. Today the church has more then 350 cell groups and has trained more then 1,500 students in their training center and has baptized at least 3,000 new converts.
The church is active in the community providing a variety of social services and activities including some medical services. These 14 years of existence are a celebration of what God has done and they are motivated to continue moving forward in the mission or restoring lives and expanding the Kingdom of God on earth!

FAQ's
No, as long as you meet some basic health and Christian maturity requirements, you are welcome to come along!
The sessions will all be translated into English and we will do our best to provide one translator for every team member as you go out for “Love in Action” on the streets in Brazil. You will be responsible for compensating your translator $20 per day. We will also give you some common Portuguese phrases for you to learn prior to the trip
Yes, that is up to you! You can be a tourist in Brazil before or after the Activation Team trip!
If you cancel for any reason after we have received your payment, this incurs a $600 cancellation fee plus any non-refundable deposit we have paid on your behalf.
We will stay in a hotel in Brazil… normally two to a room unless you request to pay the additional fee for a single room. Usually hotel rooms are OK… simple, small, basic.
